Greenfoot Food

Greetings on this soggy Vermont day!

Some folks have wondered what kinds of food are served at the Element Mountain outdoor courses, such as the upcoming Greenfoot Wilderness Survival. I understand that this is an important question for many that are health conscious. I too am very aware of what I eat.

Here at Element Mountain we believe in balanced health as being an essential aspect of a quality life. After all, without our health, what do we truly have within our personal lives or to offer the world? That being said, we also care about what foods we serve at courses. We do not serve what we would not eat ourselves.

Even though I personally am a meat-eater (have you ever met a vegetarian wolf?) it is impractical to carry, store, prepare and serve meat at our outdoor courses, especially in the warm season. This means that the meals we serve are vegetarian in nature. (going without meat for a few days isn’t going to kill ya) Further, the foods we serve are also certified organic and non-GMO.

Meals like:

  • oatmeal
  • chili
  • pueblo stew
  • corn/bean chowders
  • lentil/rice stir-fries
  • bean soups
  • etc…

I hope this clarifies this question for any of you that were wondering. Please remember that we need time to order all the food for everyone, which means if you plan to attend Greenfoot Wilderness Survival you need to sign-up by June 18th. We hope to see ya there!
