Mystery in the Lake

November 6th, 2014 by

Greeting from the Green Mountains of Vermont! On this dark and very rainy night we expect snow by morning and throughout tomorrow. Maybe up to 7 or 8 inches 🙂

Some of you may have joined us on one of our Lake Champlain adventures in past years, include this past spring. Cruising out across the cold deep waters by kayak or canoe, exploring the ancient rock shorelines and cliffs, checking out the many fossils embedded in the rock slabs and exploring the old growth white cedar forests make for special memories.

Well one such lucky person who has joined us a couple times on the Lake Adventure recently sent me a link that I thought was a story worth noting. As you read the short article in the below link keep in mind just how large and deep lake Champlain truly is and just how much natural and human history it holds…

I will of course leave the recent discoveries up to your imaginations…
