Winter Salt Survival Heat

Here is a survival tip that you will not hear in many places. It has to do increasing your body temperature to get yourself warm when you find yourself chilling down in a cold environment. Therefore obviously it is a great tool of knowledge to carry with you into autumn and winter.

Salt, yep, salt is the answer. Instead of drinking plain fresh water, drink slightly salted water. Salt increases the body’s natural thermogenesis which increases heat internally. When I speak of salt I am talking specifically about sodium chloride. Salt increases the metabolic rate of the cells which in-turn produces heat – metabolism = heat.

Sodium chloride consumption not only increases metabolism, but also helps decrease the fat content of the body and increases fat synthesizing enzymes.

Even animals instinctively know about the heat producing qualities of sodium chloride. Watch animals in winter near roads and towns. You can witness them going after the salt on the roads or seeking out salt licks set out in yards and pastures. Sure they will normally go after salt licks year round if they can find them, but in winter the extra salt helps their metabolism increase and body heat to build up, giving them a little temperature boost during the chilly months. You can even help them out by going to your local livestock supply store and buying a few $10.00 salt blocks to set in your yard at various levels so the animals of different heights can get to them.

Sodium chloride consumption increases the metabolic rate of the body which increases heat production. This means it also can decrease inflammation since a drop in basal temperature can increase the inflammation reaction of the body’s tissues. Low sodium diets lower the respiratory energy of the body, which cools and slows digestion, decreases thyroid function and increases fat holdings within the body.

Low sodium chloride consumption also increases the amount of intracellular calcium, which in-turn works to damage and destroy cells and increase the rate of aging.

Sodium chloride increases blood volumes, increases and restores circulation and cellular energy production. The medical field knows this and uses hypertonic solutions to revive injured people because of those very reasons.

The promotion of low sodium diets and the disinformation of harmful effects of a higher level of sodium in the body is based upon lies so the pharmaceutical companies can sell their harmful diuretic drugs and other synthetic chemicals to that do nothing but aggravate the process of rapid aging. Scientific and medical studies have been done since the 70’s proving that higher levels of sodium chloride in the diet reduce aging, increase energy and metabolism, relax the heart, reduce free radical production, increase the efficiency of oxygen use by the cells, reduce inflammation and get rid of edema, which is caused by a sodium chloride deficiency, not an excess.

Of course the more pure the alt the better or easier it is for the body to absorb. The idea of high mineral salts being better for us is not true. It took me years to figure that out. High mineral salts make it difficult for the body to absorb the sodium chloride, but also causes us to get less sodium chloride per salt serving. Sea salt contains many toxins from our oceans. Table salt contains anti-caking agents which are not healthy for our bodies. Even Himalayan Primordial Sea Salt is not the best since the pink hue of it is created by its rust content! Pickling salt is the purest/cleanest form of sodium chloride that we can buy today, so far as I know.
